I don’t have to tell the people who read my posts that starting and leading a startup is hard work. That’s exactly why self-care is so important!
The mind and body can tolerate sprints when that is what’s necessary to meet a funding deadline, ship product, or respond to a customer. But there’s a reason why flat-out sprint distances (100, 200, and 400m) are shorter – the pace is not sustainable for the long haul.
If you’ve been sprinting and are looking for ways to renew, this article might offer a new way of thinking about self-care. I particularly liked the distinction between self-indulgence and self-care.
